How can I stop adult websites opening new browser windows?

It is very simple - choose any site we list that has a no popups award

and link to the sites using our links.

Most sites provide different ways for webmasters to link to them. We passionately hate pop ups and exit consoles so we ensure wherever possible that we use the no popup link to a site.

If you want to stop popups from a site we dont list then one way is to press the escape key - esc - as soon as the popup appears. This will stop it filling in and usually stop it starting any more popups.

What do we use - the Google tool bar. This excellent piece of software runs on most Microsoft systems and if you use IE 5.5 or later can be configured to automatically block all pop-up ads from anywhere. Use the link above to find out more.

You can also get software that blocks pop ups. Try typing "no popup software" into google.com and you will get a list of popup killers - we have not tried any so we cant recommend any particular one

Unfortunately as long as surfers keep buying things from popups and exit console webmasters will use them and mar the experience for the rest of us.
